I am a Professor of International Studies and Political Science at Virginia Military Institute. My research and teaching interests span the field of comparative politics. These interests include comparative political economy, inter-ethnic relations, trust, and the politics of land reform. My specific regional interest is in Central Asia and I have experience living and working in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
